What better way to bring in the change in seasons than light blush tones? It would be too typical and harsh to go from our light, breezy, pops of summer color to the gloomy, dark, undertones of fall. This new trend of blush colors for fall is a brilliant take on what is normally seen as a spring palette. I’m currently loving the idea of juxtaposing a very lady like blush skirt (hitting right at the knees) with a dark vintage t-shirt and a quilted leather jacket. Happy Monday! xxxooo

Nothing is more comfortable than my Paige Denim boyfriend jeans. I often have to hide them in the back of my closet so as not to wear them too often. They are the perfect combination of soft denim, medium wash, with an oversized fit. One of my favorite ways to dress them up is with a simple silk cami, layers of gold necklaces, and a statement jacket – like this sailor striped blazer (the quintessential summer outerwear), and ideally a pair of strappy heels. What is your favorite comfort piece? Happy Friday! xxxooo

Beach Breakfast{a lazy morning, sipping on a warm cappuccino takes me back to mornings in Europe}

DIY Shorts{cutting an old pair of jeans into a new pair of shorts}

Unique Flavors{trying out new ice cream flavors – the lavender honey was my favorite}

Package{I love receiving packages in the mail – its like Christmas in August}

This week has gotten me all thrown off. With working “graveyard” hours, my internal clock and routine are all up in the air. It takes a day off spent reading at the beach, a package full of some new goodies arriving at my doorstep, and savoring a few unusually delicious ice cream flavors to make the week go by that much sweeter. Happy Monday! xxxooo

Some say, “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” Others may think “copy cat” or worse imitation is a form of stealing. Personally, I find inspiration from replicating another outfit someone has put together, but throwing my own spin onto it. Take this basic print sundress – for day throw on nude sandals, unadorned gold rings, and a hat. For night heels, a statement necklace, a gold cuff bracelet, and a black envelope clutch are great evening options. Never shy away from what inspires you, no matter what others may think. Have a great weekend! xxxooo
