Fashion Fridays

Some of the best outfits are composed of old things becoming new again. Take these Ray Ban’s, they were/are my mothers back in the day and of lately have become my own. Same with this belt, I have no idea how it ended up in my closest or who it originally belonged to, but eventually it became mine over the years. And this time-less sundress, I scanned my brain trying to remember where I bought it from but to no avail I couldn’t remember. The most recent items purchased in this outfit are the necklace (from a store in Madrid) and the sandals (bought on my last trip to New York). Just goes to show that sometimes shopping in your own closest (or your family member’s) is more fun than going to a store. Happy Friday, have a wonderful weekend! xxxooo

Breakfast for Dinner

The best invention to meals is having breakfast for dinner. Eggs, pancakes, toast, anything of the breakfast genre ultimately becomes a hundred times better when you eat it for dinner. So one night last week I couldn’t figure out what to make for dinner. Until I was browsing my Pinterest (an amazing creation) and came upon this fried egg, tomato and arugula sandwich on a grilled baguette. It was not only relatively healthy but I added some melted brie to the bread and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese on top to add a salty bite to the overall entree and it was fabulous. Definitely a weekly stable to my dinner routines now.

To say that I’m obsessed with this skirt would be an understatement. Despite the fact that I’ve only worn it twice since I’ve bought it, my habit of only re wearing certain items in rotating trend. It was a steal from H&M and with some professional alterations, it now fits perfectly. With an ideal lady-like length, hitting right above the knees with just a hint of volume without looking costume-y. Ironically, I seem to treasure the pieces in my closet that I got at great discounts, ridiculously good sales, or from flea markets more so than my full priced designer items. Happy Friday! xxxooo
