Baking with lavender is one of my favorite ingredients to use. The taste is very potent so only a drop of it (oil in this case) is needed. I was really craving a red velvet cupcake the other night. Instead of going with the traditional cream cheese pairing, I mixed it up with a lavender honey cream cheese frosting. The recipe goes as followed: (for half a dozen cupcakes)
half a cup of cream cheese
2 cups of powder sugar
2 tablespoons of honey
a drop of lavender oil
