Happy Halloween

Every year I’m always stumped on what to do for Halloween. I love dressing up, carving pumpkins, and making festive treats in the kitchen. So this year I’m getting together a small group of friends to come over and enjoy the evening with some haunted treats and beverages. Happy Halloween!

Must have Mondays

Getting things in the mail has become widely underrated in my opinion. I love receiving mail, especially large packages with my name on it. I get even more excited when the package is something I didn’t order online for myself but from a friend or family member. Sometimes (a lot of times actually) it’s the small things that really make me smile. Happy Monday! xxxooo

Fashion Fridays: For Less

It hasn’t been until the past few years that shorts have become an acceptable dressy stable. With brands producing them in all kinds of material from sequins to lace and leather the options are endless. Mila’s look is a simple version to ease you into this ongoing trend. Items like a black blazer, nude pumps, and silk button down are central closest must haves so to dress it up a bit more and have some fun with it pare it with sequin shorts. Personally, this is one of my favorite Friday night outfits. Hope y’all have a fun, festive weekend! xxxooo

Pumpkin Spice Cake

 {ingredients…bake at 350* for 15-20 minutes}

{ghoulish green gluten-free cream cheese frosting}

With exercising not being an option lately I’ve been eating much healthier. But with all the holidays coming up and it being the best season for baking I’ve been taking traditional recipes and putting a healthier spin on them. For instance I used this recipe and made it low fat and sugar-free. I was skeptical about the outcome, thinking it wouldn’t taste as delicious as if normally following the recipe but to my surprise it was moist, scrumptious, and gone in 3 days!

Fashion Fridays

{hinge biker jacket, casion long sleeved shirt}

{kate spade black bracelet, rose gold whisper bracelets, michael kors wath}

As a child I despised the color pink. I thought it was too girlie, a predictable favorite color choice for a girl and I was always striving to be different (so purple it was). The older I get the more the color seems to be calling me. I found this ideal jacket this summer on sale, knowing that it would be perfect for the lukewarm Southern California winter. The cut is more biker but the color is nothing but girlie, plus it has pockets so I immediately fell in love and just had to have it. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! xxxooo
